It is situated north of Gilgit city. The valley is famous
for many mountains including Rakaposhi (7788m), Diran Peak (7265m), Golden Peak, and Rush Peak. Besides, the famous Hispar Glacier, 49 km long, and Rush
Lake, the 27th highest lake in the world, are famous in the valley.
