An Angel in a Village

A story based on some real and a bit imaginary parts, from the mountains of GilgitBaltistan Pakistan Once upon a time, nestled in a picturesque valley, there existed a village named Sadpara. The fertile lands of Sadpara blessed its inhabitants with an abundance of food and prosperity. However, the people of the village were consumed by their own greed and selfishness. One fateful day, an angel disguised as a weary traveler descended upon Sadpara. Seeking shelter and sustenance, the angel approached the villagers one by one, requesting just a morsel of food. But to his dismay, each person turned a blind eye and refused to offer any help. Disheartened by their indifference, the angel continued his search for a warm hearth and a kind soul. As he wandered through the desolate streets, his path crossed with that of a humble and compassionate old woman named Zulekha. Without hesitation, Zulekha invited the disguised angel into her humble abode, offering him a warm meal and a place to rest.
